The End of a 2 Month Long Journey

It has been a very very long time since I last updated this blog

I was busy with works and it totally consume a whole lot of my time

What I love about my job is I got to travel to other country for free

And yes, I've been spending my last 2 months in Abu Dhabi, UAE

Schlumberger MLC

This whole 2 months was filled with exams and assessments

It was totally different from the university's exam

Failure in the exams will cost me my job

With only 2 chances of failure, the margin of errors is very little

The crazy Group 3

With crazy team members and classmate, the pressure was a little bit relieved

We learned a lot of things here

Apart from the technical aspects, we also learned how to communicate, how to build self confidence and also how to maintain cool when under pressure

Completed the course...CERTIFIED!!!!

After the long torturing 2 months, it came to an end today

What's next? I'm flying back to MALAYSIA!!!

Hello 2013!

2012 was indeed a another memorable year for me. Not an easy descriptions. A lot of things happened last year and definitely will make me into a better person this year. I would like to take this opportunity to wish Happy New Year to all my readers.

Membuka Mata Berbulu Lentik Ini

Semenjak aku turun ke laut ni, banyak benda yang aku lihat dan membuka mata

Betapa indahnya bumi ciptaan Allah ini

Selalunya setiap hari aku akan ambil masa dalam 10-15 minit merenung ke arah lautan

Mana tahu ada benda baru yang aku dapat tengok

Selalunya, ia tidak akan mengecewakan

Selain daripada lawatan mengejut delegasi Yu Paus beberapa hari lepas, sekumpulan obor-obor juga datang melawat

Obor-obor terapung-apung di bawah pelantar, agak menyeramkan

Terbayang kalaulah aku terjatuh dan disengat obor-obor tu

Mungkin aku menemui ajal kegatalan

Ada juga pada suatu tengahari yang tenang, aku dapat lihat ikan barakuda berenang-renang

Nampak sayup-sayup badan barakuda yang panjang-panjang tu

Mula-mula aku ingat ular laut, tapi tak mungkinlah ular laut berenang beramai-ramai

Hasil perbualan aku dengan orang yang dah otai laut ni, dia memperjelaskan yang ikan tersebut adalah  barakuda

Pengalaman aku bersama alam semulajadi di sini adalah priceless!

Unexpected Visit from Nature

A whale shark visited the rig I am currently on

What a spectacular moment

Seriously, I was over-excited to see this creature live in the natural habitat

Not in Aquaria KLCC, Kuala Lumpur or Sentosa Island Underwater World, Singapore

I was not permitted to take photograph on this rig however fortunately a construction crew who was permitted to use camera on board snapped it

Credit to them, I'm just sharing

P/S: Look forward for the dolphin now.... :)

The whale shark was near the rig for almost 45 minutes

Awesome Chopper Trip

I never thought the chopper trip was awesome

The weather has been nice to me, thank God!

Just a little rain but it was OK.

And one of the most interesting thing was I saw a round rainbow in the air

I've heard about this round rainbow before but never saw it

I was lucky to see one

Something like this but better

Nervous...

Weather, weather...

Changed Job

It has been a month now since I joined the new company

I hope it is still not too late for me to blog about this

Leaving Cekap was indeed a hard decision to make

However, rejecting a job offer from one of the biggest oil & gas company would be one of the most stupid decisions I've ever made

And, I know that I leave my 3-year-old "baby" in good hands and I hope that it will continue to grow

It is very different this time around

Last time, I have to make sure that everything was executed perfectly and timely but this time around I am the executor

Working with drilling operation demanded a lot of energy and time, while at the same time I have to study all the new things and most important is to pass the entrance exam for the Engineering School-1

I've met a lot of nice people around and is looking forward to make more friends

It is all about adaptability and currently in love with this dynamic life

Nothing is impossible and I look forward to grow my professional career with this new company

Quoting Sofiyan Yahya, "There is only ONE God. The rest is for us to conquer!"

Jalur Gemilang

I don't usually ramble about politics but the recent development in this country really irks me. It doesn't mean that I just don't care about politics before but I just let it plays by ears and let me make my own judgement.

It has gone viral on the social network about an MP insulting the Jalur Gemilang (YES, that same MP who condemned Dato' Lee Chong Wei when he lost to Lin Dan in the Olympic Final). It is quite interesting when he call our national flag is of low-class or not classy (it's the same thing I guess). What do you mean by "not classy"? Was it lack of complex geometry or was it only straight lines? I thought the 14-point star was difficult enough to draw (remembering the art class during school). Or maybe you haven't drawn the flag before because you were busy drawing flags of others?

Whatever it is, making such remarks on the auspicious day of the nation is such a disgrace to you, your families and even the people who is close to you. You should feel ashamed and make a public apology for such remarks. So, what's next? Telling the whole world that "Negaraku" is too slow and too boring so that it is not worth singing? I personally feel proud every time I sing the National Anthem and even more proud if I heard it being played in other country.

Respecting the Jalur Gemilang

It is definitely your choice to hate the country's leader but it is wrong to hate your country or your country's National Flag. If that's the case, please surrender your citizenship and be a citizen of a country with a flag that you like. We don't need you here.
